A 16-week detailed coding course used to provide the concrete foundation of medical coding for professional services. This class prepares the students for the CPC exam through the AAPC. The course covers CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10-CM coding. Assures a broad knowledge in reviewing and assigning the correct procedure and diagnosis codes for professional (physician) services.

Coding Objectives:

• Understand and apply the official ICD-10-CM coding guidelines
• Identify the information in appendices of the CPT® code book
• Apply coding conventions when assigning diagnoses and procedure codes
• Explain the determination of the levels of E/M services
• Code a wide variety of patient services using CPT®,  ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II codes
• Provide practical application of coding operative reports and evaluation and management services

A medical terminology dictionary is recommended for those that are not familiar with medical terms. (NOT INCLUDED IN TUITION)

Online/Self-Paced Class

Students are allowed to choose their own start date. 

You will receive 1 year access to an exclusive learning portal that houses the medical billing and coding lectures and trainings, along with the following :

Access to LIVE Zoom classes every other Wednesday at 6PM central for Q&A and course module review. Are you unable to attend the live classes?  The live Zoom classes will be recorded and made available to you to review on your own schedule.

Support from a licensed AAPC Certified Professional Coding Instructor with over 11 years of medical billing and coding experience.

The CPC Exam Prep Course is designed for learners that already possess proficient medical coding skills but desire focused training in order to prepare for the CPC national examination.

• Review of tabbing book and color-  coding key sections in your CPT book

• Bonus: Includes timed 50 question CPC practice exam 

Class Duration: 5 hours- One Day Course

Students are responsible for providing required coding books. (ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS)
