Most coding positions require at least one year of coding expertise from coders. As a newly certified coder this can become frustrating. How can you gain experience if no one is willing to hire you? Divine Coding is here to help!

Divine Coding offers an web-based training internship allowing new medical coders to gain the confidence of coding real-world cases in a variety of specialties. 

This internship provide students with practical experience and first-hand exposure to working as a certified professional coder. This internship is offered to all of our All Inclusive Course students.

How can I enroll into the online internship?

Our online internship is only offered to Divine's Coding students who enrolled in the All Inclusive Course. Once successfully completing the course and passing your certification exam, students will have the opportunity to sign up for their internship.

What is the cost of the internship?

The price for the internship is included in the All Inclusive Course. No additional fee is required.

How long does this internship take to complete?

The internship is self pace therefore the time of completion will depend completely on the student. It can be completed as quick as 3 months but you will have  access  to the internship for 1 year.

How does this online internship work?

Students will log into our online learning platform and code daily medical record charts. If they come across any charts that they have questions on or need help with, they are allowed to comment on that particular chart to receive one on one feedback from one of our instructors. You can review the case and the correct coding as many times as you like for as long as you have access to the content.

Is this internship beneficial?   How will this help me land a job?

Yes! Completing the internship is very beneficial. Upon successful completion of the internship, you will receive an internship recommendation letter with details about the program that you can use in your employment search. A letter of experience completion will also be provided. This is something students may include on their resumes. Build your resume and gain confidence from coding 600+ actual medical records. This is equivalent to one year of medical coding experience. With this experience, you will be more appealing to employers.

Is this a paid internship?

No! This internship is not paid but you will inforce new skills and gain experience you can apply to a new job or career advancement opportunity.
